Hedonistic lust killers are probably the scariest and most monstrous of all types of serial killers. Not all of them want to necessarily hurt you or kill you - they simply want to wear your skin or eat your liver or have sex with you severed head. It’s just that your life gets in the way… Edmund Kemper, who murdered ten victims and had sex with their corpses and various mutilated body parts, explained that the actual killing of his victims had little to do with his fantasies. “I’m sorry to sound so cold about this, but what I needed to have was a particular experience with a person, and to possess them in the way I have wanted to: I had to evict them from their human bodies.” Lust killers often have an ideal victim type in mind with fetishistic elements - type of footwear or clothing worn, colour or style of hair, body shape, a ‘cheerleader type’ or a ‘slutty type,’ and so on. Lust killers often need intimate skin-to-skin in their killing, and use a knife or strangulation to murder. Necrophilia is a very frequent aspect of lust killer homicides. They are mostly highly organised, having gone through years of the process of transforming and rehearsing their often bizarre fantasies into reality. Lust killers are often aware that their victim choice is visible to police and may choose to travel to various jurisdictions in both their hunt for and disposal of victims. Because sometimes these killers consume certain body parts or focus on them, dismembered victims may be spread over different locations. The lust killer usually chooses different dumping grounds for each victim.

Edmund Kemper
Otherwise known by the brand name of “The Co-ed Killer”. Kemper was an American serial killer who was at large in the 1970’s.
Kemper ended his spiral of murder with ten victims, four of those being people he knew, including his own mother and grandparents and the other six being female hitchikers. The main characteristics of Kemper’s infamous case was the big three: necrophilia, cannibalism and dismemberment.
Kemper is still behind bars after turning himself into police custody in the 70’s.

“Well, the idea that I am a homosexual thrill killer and all that — that garbage; and they painted this image of me that, like, I trawled down the streets and stalked young boys and slaughtered them. Hell, if you could see my schedule, my work schedule, you’d know damn well that I was never out there.” - John Wayne Gacy

“They were just a bunch of worthless little queers and punks.”
“The only thing they can get me for is running a funeral parlor without a license.”
His last words: “You can kiss my ass.”

John Wayne Gacy presents the classic dual personality of many of serial killers. In public, he wore an affable and engaging persona, even working as a children’s entertainer. Behind closed doors, however, he had a predilection for raping and murdering young men, killing 33 people before justice finally caught up with him. His time finally ran out on May 10, 1994, when he was executed by lethal injection, his last words were “Kiss my ass.”

John Wayne Gacy, Jr. was an American serial killer and rapist, who was convicted of the sexual assault and murder of at least 33 boys and young men in a series of killings committed between 1972 and 1978 in Chicago, Illinois. He was dubbed “Killer Clown” because he dressed as “Pogo the clown” at fundraising events and at children’s birthday parties.

All of his victims were murdered inside his home, where they would lured to his address by force or deception. All of them were strangled or asphyxiated, except his first victim which was stabbed to death.

Gacy buried 26 of his victims in the crawl space of his home, three victims were buried around his property and the last four known victims were dumped in the Des Plaines River. Only 25 victims were identified, although forensic investigators are still working on identifying the remaining 8. There is a possibility for more murders to be linked to Gacy, although the general accepted number is 33-34 victims.

Gacy was sentenced to death for 12 killings on March 13, 1980. He spent 14 years on death row before being executed by lethal injection on May 14, 1994.

His last words were “Kiss my ass.
